Remote Training module around a universal IoT platform developed in the LEAN IOT FAB enabling sensor data in the cloud. Participants get a hands-on experience with IoT Solution from both hardware and software perspective.First, they get to now about physical device, components like sensors and their characteristics (sensitivities, delays). Next participants will have to develop their own IoT architecture for an IoT platform collecting data from sensors. Final step would be setting up a cloud-based dashboard that would receive data from sensors via API key.
Description:
ROI EFESO remote training is primarily based on interactive and learning by doing approach, where participants are not bombarded with tons of theoretical material and slides, but are rather engaged into training process through the utilization of modern technologies in form of multi participant conferencing platforms, live group surveys, break-out sessions for smaller groups, etc. Though most importantly ROI EFESO remote trainings provide participants a unique opportunity to be virtually present on the shop floor of Lean IoT FAB and be part of the training as if they were physically standing at the training station.
Session 1:
- Short introduction to SensBox platform the following topics: Introduction to SensBox slides covering Arduino, Shields, Busses, Sensors, Data upload and read intervals, calibration of sensors, sensors configuration and data fields, data extractions, IoT solution architecture.
- Examples of platform utilization in projects
- Live virtual session presentation SensBox kit
- Group task to develop an IoT solution that will afterwards be built in a live session
- Identification of data output among various other outputs
- Live group survey
Session 2:
- Short review of the session 1
- Introduction to live dashboards, IoT platforms landscape, overview of ThinkSpeak platform and API keys
- Participants divided into groups work on creating a dashboard for live data visualization
- Groups create graphs depicting correlation via MatLab
- Breakout session on developing a UseCase for applying SensBox IoT platform
- Live group survey
- Summary on both sessions
Session 3:
- Optional session in which ROI sends SensBox IoT platform to a customer with further assembly by customer on site and additional tasks
