Remote Training module introducing role of sensors in IoT systems, key principles of operation and proper functioning, their physical and electric properties, connectivity capabilities and limitations. Participants will learn how to implement sensors in a real-life production and office environments, see how data from sensors can be displayed.

Description:

ROI EFESO remote training is primarily based on interactive and learning by doing approach, where participants are not bombarded with tons of theoretical material and slides, but are rather engaged into training process through the utilization of modern technologies in form of multi participant conferencing platforms, live group surveys, break-out sessions for smaller groups, etc. Though most importantly ROI EFESO remote trainings provide participants a unique opportunity to be virtually present on the shop floor of Lean IoT FAB and be part of the training as if they were physically standing at the training station.

Session 1:

• Brief introduction to sensors from hardware and software points of view
• Units of measurements and principles of data capture, precision and latency
• Means of communicating data – wi-fi, Bluetooth
• Live virtual session presenting selected sensors
• Live group survey

Session 2:

• Remote accessibility to sensors
• Examples of sensors application in industrial environment
• Identification of data output among various other outputs from sensors
• Group task to develop a Use Case for sensors application
• Summary on both sessions
